Miramare Estate

Along the path of a rare fresh water spring is the Miramare Estate, one of nature’s true miracles. Three deep wells here provide enough water for it’s two cabernet vineyards. An oasis of beauty amongst the often barren Cycladic landscape, the castle style mansion dominates from 130m high upon the hilltop summit.

The villa’s interiors are a lovely combination of both contemporary and more traditional touches. Wooden ceiling beams, and wooden window frames bring warm tones to the cosy, eclectic living spaces, which are all tastefully decorated. A separate dining room has a distinct rustic ambience and is a lovely room to invite friends to join you for dinner on a cooler evening, when eating outside is off the menu.

The villa has four comfortable bedrooms and five bathrooms as well as a guest room, playroom and a personnel room.

A highlight of the villa is the stone built cellar. Perfectly temperature controlled to store wine in ideal conditions and for storing the 2000 litres of wine produced here each year.

Mature gardens are a delight to behold. Bursts of red, yellow and pink flowers punctuate the landscape releasing a bouquet of fragrant scents. Raised terraces look down over a private pool, situated perfectly to watch the spectacular sunsets, as another idyllic day slips slowly away.

The evenings can be spent enjoying eating outside, cooking on the BBQ, swimming in the pool or slipping down to the water’s edge at either one of the two private beaches, for a moonlit swim. There is 350m of direct waterfront access.

The climate in Mykonos is generally mild and moderate throughout the winter months and spending time here during the cooler months is a joy. The island is known for “meltemia”, northerly winds that can turn from light cooling breezes to something stronger. Here you won’t get blown away by the weather as the Estate has been designed to be protected from the winds.
